Faith in the unseen (al-ghayb) is actually the foundation of true belief. The Quran praises "those who believe in the unseen" (2:3). We believe in Allah through multiple forms of evidence: 1) The creation around us - the precise design of the universe, human body, and nature all point to an intelligent Creator. 2) The Quran - a miraculous revelation no human could produce. 3) Our inner nature (fitrah) - humans naturally recognize a higher power. 4) Logic - everything that exists must have a cause; Allah is the ultimate uncaused cause. 5) The testimony of prophets throughout history. The Hadith Jibril teaches that belief includes faith in Allah, angels, scriptures, prophets, the Last Day, and divine decree - all unseen (Sahih Muslim). "And within yourselves. Do you not see?" (51:21).
