The purpose of worship (ibadah) in Islam is to fulfill our very reason for creation - to know, love, and submit to Allah. Worship purifies the soul, brings inner peace, protects from sin, and builds a direct relationship with the Creator. It includes not just prayer and fasting, but every good deed done sincerely for Allah's sake: helping others, being honest, treating family well, and even smiling at others. Worship reminds us of our purpose, keeps us humble, and prepares us for the eternal life. As Allah says: 'I did not create jinn and mankind except to worship Me.'
