Muhammad (ﷺ) was chosen by Allah as His final messenger. At age 40, while meditating in Cave Hira near Mecca, Angel Jibril (Gabriel) appeared and commanded him to "Read!" (Iqra). This was the first revelation of the Quran (Surah Al-Alaq, 96:1-5). Though initially frightened, his wife Khadijah and her cousin Waraqa confirmed his prophethood. Over 23 years, he received the complete Quran and was taught all aspects of faith and practice. The Quran states: "He does not speak from desire. It is nothing but revelation revealed" (53:3-4). Signs of his prophethood include: the miraculous Quran, fulfilled prophecies, the transformation he brought to Arabia, and his impeccable character even acknowledged by enemies. He is in the line of prophets from Adam, chosen to deliver Allah's final message to humanity.
